2021 Land Rover Defender
Finally, one of the most awaited SUV has been launched in the market, the 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 & 110. The pricing for Defender 90 starts from Rupees 73.98 Lakhs, and the basic pricing for Defender 110 stands at Rupees 79.94 Lakhs. (All prices are ex-showroom).
Basically, the Defender 90 is a 3 door variant, whereas the Defender 110 is the 5 door variant. Both the variants of the car will be powered by a petrol engine.
Both the 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 & 110 are powered with the same 2.0-Liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces max power of 296 HP, and the torque output of the Defender 2021 happens to be 400 Nm.
The 2.0-Liter petrol engine powers all the four wheels and is mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. No option of diesel engine and the manual gearbox is provided.
Globally, Land Rover Defender gets more engine options like a 4-cylinder diesel engine, 6-cylinder diesel, and petrol engine.
According to Land Rover, Defender 90 can do 0-100 kmph in just 8.0 seconds, whereas the Defender 110 can complete the sprint in 8.1 seconds. The top speed of both the Defenders is limited to 191 kmph.
Coming to the exteriors of the Defender, the SUV gets an all-LED headlight setup along with DRLs, tail light also happens to be the same LED unit, gets 20-inch alloy wheels, towing hook, keyless entry sensors at all the four doors, a decently sized panoramic sunroof, and functional roof rails.
The interior of the SUVs is loaded with modern technologies. It includes a 12.3-inch instrument cluster along with a 10-inch touchscreen PIVI PRO infotainment system, connected car features, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, heads-up display, ambient lighting, wireless charging pad, cooled front armrest, and three-zone climate controlled A/c.
The list is not over yet, as it also includes a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, rubber flooring, and folding fabric roof as an option.
2021 Land Rover Defender gets ample of drive modes like hill descent control, terrain response, electronic active differential, and all-terrain progress control.
The breakover angle happens to be 31-degrees, and a departure angle of 40-degrees and the water wading capacity of the SUV is around 900 mm.
The Defender 2021 is also equipped with an air suspension, by which the height of the car can be adjusted accordingly.
Land Rover Defender comes with a 360-degree parking camera, reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, front parking sensors, blind-spot assist, speed limiter, real-time pictorial water depth information, six airbags, ABS, and automatic traction control.
