The list of best small cars in India 2020 includes four cars. The list is prepared based on pricing, which starts from Rupees 3.00 Lakhs all the way till 5.00 Lakhs.
In the list, the cars included are
- Renault Kwid
- Maruti Suzuki Alto
- Maruti Suzuki WagonR
- Hyundai Santro
Some of the cars on the list also come in the league of one of the most sold cars in the year, with some surprising sales units.
1). Renault Kwid
The first car on our list is the one and only Renault Kwid. One of the best cars with low maintenance costs and good looks.
The car comes loaded with features like all power windows and DRLs. The top-spec variants are also equipped with touchscreen infotainment screen and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Renault Kwid is surprisingly available with two engine options and two transmission options as well. But both the motors will be powered by petrol.
The car is powered with a 799 cc and a 1.0-Liter petrol engine, which produces 53 bhp along with 72 Nm torque and 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of torque, respectively.

If compared to other brands, the interior built quality of Maruti Suzuki lacks behind with the usage of low-quality materials and lack of features.
But the exterior durability and the most important, engine performance is unbeatable and phenomenal. Highly fuel-efficient and fewer maintenance cars are loved by we Indians.
Currently, Alto is available in petrol and petrol CNG engines, but still, we do not have an option for automatic AMT transmission in the entire lineup.

3). Maruti Suzuki WagonR
Surprisingly, again the third car on the best small cars in India 2020 list is from the most loved Indian brand Maruti Suzuki. The Maruti WagonR also tops in the charts of the sales units.
If compared, WagonR might be a good option to purchase for people having a budget of nearly 5 lakh Rupees. As mentioned earlier, scratchy materials are used in the interiors.
But the new WagonR comes with ample features like electronically foldable ORVMs, touchscreen infotainment system along with BlueTooth, and steering mounted controls.
Thankfully, Maruti WagonR comes with two engine options, the 1.0-Liter petrol, and 1.2-Liter and two transmission options as well. The car is also available in Petrol CNG.
The 1.0-Liter petrol engine produces 67 bhp of power along with 90 Nm of torque. This specific engine is available with a 5-speed manual or automatic AMT.
The 1.2-Liter petrol engine produces 82 bhp of power along with 113 Nm of torque. This specific engine is also available with a 5-speed manual or automatic AMT.

4). Hyundai Santro
The last car on our list of best small cars in India 2020 is from Hyundai, the Santro. In the early 2000s, Santro was also one of the most selling and known cars, but later on, it was discontinued.
Years later the car has been relaunched and is offered with ample variants. The top-spec car comes loaded with features.
The car is equipped with a touch screen infotainment system, power windows, ORVMs, steering mounted controls, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Hyundai Santro is available in only one engine option, along with options for petrol, CNG, and manual and automatic AMT transmissions.
The 1.1-Liter petrol engine is capable of producing 68 bhp of power and 99 Nm of torque. Whereas the 1.1-Liter petrol CNG produces power of 58 bhp and 85 Nm torque.
