Jawa Launched The Special Edition Bikes To Mark The Occasion Of 50th Anniversary Of 1971 War Victory.
Jawa has launched the Khakhi & the Midnight Grey special editions of the bikes in the Indian market with a price tag of Rupees 1.93 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Special Editions of the bikes was launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1971 war anniversary. The bikes now come with some cosmetic updates.
The Jawa Khakhi Edition and the Midnight Grey Edition come with a special badge on the tanks commemorating 50 years of the 1971 war victory.
The Manufacturer says, “What makes these motorcycles special is the commemorative emblem that proudly features the prestigious Indian Army insignia flanked by a ‘laurel wreath’ symbolizing the 1971 victory. Jawa Motorcycles is honored to be the first manufacturer to be allowed to do so on a production motorcycle.”
Specifically, the Khakhi color option “signifies the spirit of selfless service to the nation by the men in uniform”, while the Jawa Midnight Grey Edition is inspired by the Battle of Longewala.
On other hand, the lower or the mechanical sections of the bikes are blacked out in matte including the wheel rims, engine, and exhaust pipe.
Mechanicals remains unchanged with a 293 Cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, producing 27.33 PS of power & 27.02 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
