Mercedes Benz EQE Comes With A Drive Range Of Up To 660 Kilometers In A Single Charge.
Mercedes Benz has unveiled the EQE eclectic sedan in the global markets today. This will be the fourth pure EV offered by the manufacturer.
Currently, Mercedes Benz offers the EQC in the Indian markets with a price tag of Rupees 1.06 Crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai). While the launch of the EQS and the EQG in the Indian automobile market remains a mystery.
The global launch of the Mercedes Benz EQE is expected to take place around mid-2022, which will be manufactured at the Bremen plant in Germany and in Beijing for the Chinese automobile market.
As the name suggests, EQE will be based on the E-class, but certainly, the EV is a completely different vehicle in terms of interiors and exteriors.
Exteriors of the executive business saloon come with an all-LED headlight setup with LED DRL’s, a gloss black panel at the front in place of the radiator grille, full-width LED lighting at the rear 19-inch alloys as standard, and 21-inch alloys as optional.
Interiors of the EQE resemble up to an extent with the Luxury saloon EQS with features like MBUX Hyper screen which comprises of three screens, panoramic sunroof, Burmester sound system with multiple speakers and twitters.
Mercedes Benz EQE measures 4,946 mm long, 1961 mm wide, 1512 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3120 mm, which overall is wider and taller than the current E-class.
In terms of powertrain, the EV comes with a 90 kWh battery pack which transmits power to a single electric motor at the back and produces 288 BHP and 530 Nm.
The car comes with an 11 kW charger as standard and a 22 kW charger as optional. The charging time depends on the charger and can vary from 8.25 hours to 4.25 hours. Fast chargers at the stations can charge up to 250 km of range only within 15 minutes.
