Tata Tigor EV Comes With A Drive Range Of 306 Km's In A Single Charge.
Tata Motors has launched the Tigor Ev with a basic price tag of Rupees 11.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The EV will be offered in three variants- XE, XM & XZ+.
Top-of-the-line XZ+ trim is also offered with an optional dual-tone exterior with a gloss black roof.
Tigor EV will be the entry-level EV offered by the manufacturer and will be the second EV product offered after the Tata Nexon EV.
Exteriors of the EV remain the same as the facelifted Tata Tigor with sharper headlights along with LED DRL’s, front fog lamps, electric ORVM’s, keyless entry, alloy wheels, chrome-finished door handles, etc.
While the interiors come equipped with push-button start/stop, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, power windows, automatic climate-controlled A/c, digital instrument cluster, steering mounted infotainment controls, premium Harman sound system with 4-speakers & 4-twitters, and blue inserts around A/c vents.
The 2021 Tata Tigor EV comes with a 55 kW permanent synchronous AC motor which produces, 74 BHP & 170 Nm. The power is drawn from a 26 kWh, liquid-cooled, IP-67 rated high energy density battery pack.
The manufacturer claims that the EV can do a sprint of 0-60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds, while the claimed range of the EV in sport mode stands at 306 km.
The EV can be charged from 0-80 % in 8.5 hours using a 15 A domestic charger, while for the same using a fast charger, it takes about an hour. Tata will also offer an 8 year/1,60,000 km warranty on the battery pack and electric motor.
In terms of safety, the Tigor EV comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Corner Stability Control (CSC), hill ascent assist and hill descent assist.
